Booking Procedure

 
1. How do I book an apartment and will I receive a confirmation
of my booking?


An apartment can be booked instantly online on our website www.cocoonbarcelona.com. There are 3 main booking steps: after clicking on the button “Book now” you will be leaded to a reservation form that has to be filled out. In the second step you will have to pay the booking deposit by credit card. When this prepayment process is fully completed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with the reservation ticket.

2. When and how do I pay the remaining amount?

The remaining amount has to be paid in cash upon arrival.

 

3. What kind of payments do you accept?

When you make your booking online, the booking deposit has to be paid by credit card (VISA or Master card). The payment upon arrival has to be done in CASH. The owner can´t accept credit card payments upon arrival.

 

4. For how many people should I book?

The reservation has to be done for the maximum number of persons that will stay in the apartment even if the number of persons varies during your stay.

 

5. Can I change/ cancel my booking?

For changes of the number of persons or the dates of your stay we charge an administration fee of 20 €. In case of cancelation of your reservation we don´t refund the paid booking deposit (even in case of force majeure). We charge 50% of the total amount when you cancel less than 15 days before your arrival and 100% when you cancel less than 24 hours before your arrival.

 

6. Can I get an invoice of the booking?

The reservation ticket serves as an invoice for the amount paid by credit card when you made the reservation on our website (booking deposit). The owner can´t issue any invoice for the amount paid upon arrival in cash, but he can issue a receipt. This receipt must be requested upon arrival.

 

7. Can I make a booking if I am younger than 18 years?

Yes, you can make a booking, but during your stay you must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Arrival


1. How do I get to the apartment?

From Barcelona Airport to the apartment:

a) by taxi: costs around 25 €

b) by bus: blue Aerobus in front of the entry of the airport 4,05 Eur/pp – Departure every 12 minutes. 30' ride.

Stops at Plaza Espanya, Plaza Universidad, Plaza Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia & Sants.

c) by train: metro ticket, stops at Estación Sants, Passeig de Gracia and Estación de Francia departure every 30 minutes.

From Girona airport:

Bus: transfer bus, 12 €/person. Website www.sagales.es. Duration 1 h 30 to Barcelona center. Stop at Estacion del Norte

Arrival by car:

There are many car parks in the city. The costs are around 20 Eur/day. It is not possible to park for free in the city centre as it is only available for residents. Please contact us if you need further parking information and we will send you an email with parking facilities near your apartment.

 

2. Where can I find the address of the apartment?

The exact address of your apartment will be indicated on your reservation ticket.

 

3. Do you offer a pick-up service?

We provide a pick-up service from the airport. For more information: www.suntransfers.com

 

4. Where can I park my car?

There are many car parks in the city. The costs are around 20 Eur/day. It is not possible to park for free in the city centre as it is only available for residents. Please contact us if you need further parking information and we will send you an email with parking facilities near to your apartment.

 

5. Do I have to confirm my arrival time?

Yes, you have to introduce your arrival time when you make your booking. If you still don´t know the time of your arrival when you make your booking you can send it to us at least one week prior to your arrival so that we can arrange a meeting time at the apartment.

 

Check-In

1. At what time can I check-in?

The standard check-in time is from 15:00pm till 20:00pm.Once you have arrived at the airport or one hour prior to your scheduled meeting time, you have to call the owner to confirm that you will be on time. His phone number is stated on your reservation ticket.

 

2. Can I check-in earlier?

Sometimes an early check-in is possible. You can ask the owner when you call him once you have arrived in Barcelona.

 

3. How can I get the keys of the apartment?

When you meet the owner at the apartment on the day of your arrival he will give you the keys and complementary information.

 

4. Do I have to pay a fee for a late check-in?

Yes. For check-Ins after 20:00pm a fee of 20 € will be charged and for check-ins after 23:00pm you will have to pay a fee of 35 €. The amount has to be paid upon arrival in cash to the owner.

 

Check-Out

 

1. At what time do I have to check-out?

The standard check-out time is at 11:00am.

 

2. Can I check-out later?
A check-out later than 11:00am can sometimes be arranged with the owner upon arrival. It depends on the availability of the apartment if this is possible.

 

3. How do I get my security deposit back?

The owner refunds the security deposit on the day of your departure after checking the apartment. In case your check-out is very early you can talk with the owner to arrange another time for the refund of the security deposit.

 

4. Where can I leave my luggage after the check-out?
From Monday to Friday till 7pm you can leave your luggage at our special luggage storage in our office for 5 € per suitcase. (We aren´t responsible for not picked up luggage on time)

 

 

Apartment

1. Are towels and bed linen provided?

Yes, towels and bed linen are provided.

 

2. Can I bring my pet?

This depends on the owner. Please contact us to get to know if the owner allows pets in the apartment.

 

3. Do I have to clean the apartment?

Prior to your arrival the apartment will be cleaned and prepared for you. On your departure you are expected to leave the apartment in reasonable conditions. After your check-out the apartment will be cleaned again. Therefore we charge a fee as stated on your reservation ticket. Please contact us if you require any additional cleaning during your stay and we will inquire additional costs.

 

4. In which area is my apartment?

Each apartment on our website has a location map that appears when you click on the button "location". A location map is also added to your confirmation ticket.

 

5. What happens if I break something?
If you break something in the apartment please call the owner so that he can replace or fix it. If you can´t reach the owner please call our agency Cocoonbarcelona.

 

 

During your stay

1. What do I do in case of problems?

You can call the owner in case you have problems with the apartment. If you can´t contact him/ her you can call Cocoonbarcelona (Tel.:+34.661.158.852). In case of emergency you call 112.

 

2. Who can I contact if I need tourist information?

If you want to get tourist information you can go to the tourist office on Plaza Catalunya ( Plaza de Catalunya, 17-S. 08002 Barcelona Tel.: +34 93.304.31.35 ) or you can contact us and we´ll be pleased to help you if we can.
