My daughter and I loved every minute of our stay in Barcelona. Staying at Gothic Suite 6 added significantly to that. The location in particular is excellent, quiet, picturesque, and in walking distance from the majority of the obligatory stations of a tourists' visit to Barcelona. The terrace was a great plus, we only regretted that the weather did not allow us to use it every day. On the minus side, the bathroom is a bit damp and generally sub standard, and the kitchen could have been better equipped. On the other hand, who wants to cook with so many good restaurants just a few steps away?

We were warmly welcomed and given info about the neighborhood. Our apartment, however, hadn't been cleaned yet, nor had the sheets been put on the bed. This was remedied later in the afternoon, but it was a poor first impression. The fridge was noisy that we couldn't sleep at night. Also, the bedside lights, being red, didn't give off enough light to read by.

Check-ins are from 3pm and we are sorry to hear that the cleaner didn´t finish to prepair the apartment on time. We understand that this was a poor first impression.

As the Gotic Suite 6 is a studio all the equipment and furniture are in the same room. It´s therefore normal that you hear the fridge cooling itself every couple of time.

The place was great! Right in the middle of the Barri Gotic, yet the street-noise was nothing like we expected. Breakfast on the roof-terrace at the end of october, the great bars around the corner, the two nice guys from the bike-rental downstairs (where you can borrow DVD's and stash your luggage if necessary)and the cosiness of the place made our trip very nice. We'd recommend the Gotic Suite 6 to singles/couples who want to be right in the middle of it and like their privacy and independance.

The apartment was clean, tidy and just how it looks in the pictures. The roof terrace is fantastic to enjoy the sun if you can't be bothered with the beach. It's close to some quality restaurants and bars - plus a (less than) 10 min walk to the beach.

Overall this apartment is great value for money and I'd stay here again. My only criticism is the shower was a pain to hold whilst trying to soap yourself up. It could do with being attached to the wall - leaving your hands free to have a good shower!

But yes - I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a value for money stay in this fantastic city!

Very good location. The apartment provides freedom ! Its always nice to have a small kitchen to taste the products of the mercat.
The terrace was really nice for the breakfast.
The AC saved us from the street noise in the morning.

We (a couple) stayed from saturday til tuesday. it is a nice, small apartement in a very nice area. very central, we could enjoy the terrasse even in the beginning of november. supermarkets are close by, which have been open until late evening. we did not cook, because there were a lot of good cafés and restaurants, but one could have done at least small things in the kitchen. due to some reconstractions in the neighbourhood it becomes loud from 8:30am during the week. the beds are not very comfortable. but overall we can largely recomment the apartement.

The location was central, but quiet at night, and we had the flexibility of eating in or out as we pleased, with Boqueria market a short walk and local shops on the doorstep. The roof terrace was an added bonus, which we were able to use even though it was the end of March.

We prefer apartments over hotels because it's more convenient having breakfast when you like (especially on your own private terrace!) and not having to wake up for cleaners etc. So mainly the privacy and more comfortable living conditions.
