Furnishing was a bit more basic than I expected and it could have done with a lick of paint and some decent lighting (it was a bit dingy and a bit cold, but then it was November). But everything we needed was there and it was a good size with a great private terrace. Would be perfect in the summer. And the location was faultless.

The apartment is quite big. The bed was excellent. You have to be careful on the street with your valuables, but the security in the apartment is wonderful. There was no phone in the apartment and we did not have a European mobile. This was a problem for us.
The location was so accessible walking to beach, medieval Barcelona, La Rambla. The terrace, had it been warmer, was a real bonus. The owner was a great guy.

The apartment has a great patio. The area is perfect for tourists; there are a lot of museums, great restaurants, bars and clubs. 10 minutes walking to Barceloneta and the beach. There is a parking near to the building.

It is a great feeling to be in the center of the city living like a local person, using the same markets, shops and bars as local people do. In our opinion renting apartment is the best way to accommodate in Barcelona.

Super balance between relax and active holidays.
