It was disappointing that the juice maker was of interesting Design but broken. The kitchen lamp was also broken.
Beside this, the apartment is perfectly situated.

We would like to thank John for his inputs on various things to do in Barcelona (his recommendation of a vegetarian eat out at the local market turned out to be excellent). We had a comfortable stay and flat location was ideal, being a block away from La Rambla, yet very quiet. We would certainly stay in the same place if we visit Barcelona in future.

Check in/out was smooth and John was helpful and efficient to deal with. Apartment was well appointed, a generous size considering it was well located only 1 min walk from Ramblas, and had a balcony and private terrace as well, both a real bonus. The area was quiet at night, so no noise to keep you awake. All in all a good experience, would consider staying here again when in Barca. It is 71 steps from the street to the apartment as there is no lift (in common with many but not all other places), this you soon get used to, and it wasnt a problem to us, although luggage up and down was a bit awkward.

Only reason to hold back a five star rating was the safe was not available to us (previous renters had broken the key, we had specifically booked this apartment as it was one of only a few that had a safe) and the aircon unit had a slight leak, although we could still use it. These are really minor niggles and didn't detract too much from our stay.

An incredible find and, as my girlfriend and I booked our holiday at the last minute, far more than we could have hoped for. Two minutes from the Ramblas and at the north end of Raval this apartment was perfect for us as first time visitors to Barcelona. The apartment itself was great - comfortable, good space, well maintained, nicely furnished - but the roof terrace was something special and definitely the clincher. As I say we'd never visited the city before, but it felt like we'd landed at the heart of it and, with our own space rather than a hotel room, we felt that much more involved with what was going on. A quick word of warning - there are a fair few stairs involved and you are in a genuine apartment block so expect a front door (complete with ubiquitous Raval graffiti) not a hotel lobby - but genuinely if your aim is to explore, get lost in, eat, drink and uncover some amazing hidden treats all from the comfort of a home (rather than a impersonal hotel room) I couldn't recommend this apartment enough.

Apartment was centrally located and the balcony and roof terrace were brilliant! It was very well equiped and clean. Both bed and sofa bed were comfortable and easily accomodated three of us. Called the owner when we arrived at the airport and met him at the apartment - very straightforward and easy. Would highly recommend!

Great location, Raval is a nice cityarea and it is also possible to walk to Born, Garcia, Barcelonetta and other nice areas. Good kitchenfacilities. Fantastic terrace, we had our breakfast there and drinks in the evenings. Nice also with a small balcony and nice view with some palms outside.

This apartment is clean and modern and the private roof terrace is fantastic. The location is very quiet, there is no traffic noise or loud nightclubs. This was our fourth time in Barcelona and this apartment is the best accomodation that we stayed in. Clean cooking facilities as well as private outdoor space.
