What was most annoying however was the check in process. Rather than having someone meet you at the building, you had to call a number an hour in advance to get a door code (why they couldn't just email the code I don't know). I must have called about five times over an hour before I got through. Then I was told the flat wouldn't be ready till 3.30 rather than the 2pm mentioned in the booking. When I asked them why it was late I was told in a most uninterested manner - "it is from 2pm so can be at any time. I don't know what cocoon have told you but it won't be ready till 330". What a load of rubbish! Does that logic mean check-in can be at 10pm as well?! Absolutely no iota of customer service.
Apart from that however the apartment was fine, so would recommend if u happen to be arriving later in the day.
This owner manages many apartments. He has a team of cleaning ladies who clean all the apartments. They have a schedule but they cannot have cleaned all the apartments for 2 PM. You could have dropped your lugages at the office of this owner which is very close to the Rambla.

Me and my wife will come to Barcelona again and will book with Cocoon again. As a retired hotel concierge I missed the actual contact at check-in but the contact over the phone was very friendly and helpful.Thank you!
The broken handle has been replaced and the bedroom's wall will be fixed.
We have just a few apartments with an automatic check-in and this is one of them. Otherwise, the clients are always welcomed by the owner or the contact person that show them the apartment and give infos and tips about the neighborhood.
Despite this, we are happy that you enjoyed your stay and will be a pleasure to welcome you again!

Check in and payment of balance, very difficult and owner was rude and threatened to evict us, even though she had entered the wrong expiration date on our credit card.
Great location, hallways very dark, not lit. Building, when we visited, full of partying teens and twenty year olds noisy all night. Doors propped open to the outside most of the time. These teens hanging out in foyer were very helpful knowing the codes to help us check in as we were completely on our own
Really nice apt but the cons do not warrant a return visit.
