The temperature of the water in the bathrooms could be made more constant because the water tended to gradually become scalding hot or cold. It did not stay constant for long.
In the kitchen, there was only one saucepan (as well as an enormous pan and colander which were far too big to be of any use) and this was an inconvenience. There was no space to store food, like cans, tea/coffee, cereals, sugar etc, so another cupboard by the boiler would have been useful.
There is a small supermarket one block down and a larger and cheaper one three blocks along. Don't bother with the Carrefour at Glories because there are many rules you have to obey and you will find very little you want. The local shops and supermarkets are much better. The market opposite Liceu metro is great, especially for fish. Tuna was 7.50 per kilo. For wonderful tapas, try Taverna Iriarte in C. Cardenal Casanas the other side of Liceu metro station.
When you telephone the owner on arrival at the airport, have the address of the apartment or you will have the trouble and cost of ringing back.

The only issue is that the church will not be done construction til 2026- But it is well worth it for any traveler! It's so beautiful to walk by and see a new element each day that you hadn't seen before.
The apartment is a perfect European sized apartment- one full, 4 twins beds. The shower is small but there are two toilets and two sinks! A real blessing! If you want to feel like a European, I recommend living like one and staying here!
