tapas

Tapas are an important part of Spanish lifestyle and translates into ‘cover’. It all started from the days when a slice of cured ham was placed over a glass of sherry to keep the flies away. These days the variety of dishes available is huge and very tasty. There are some great little tapas bars to check out around Barcelona and you’ll also get Pintxo’s which are similar to tapas but typically small slices of bread with various toppings. They arrive on cocktail sticks, and when it comes to paying the bill the waiter simply adds up the number of sticks on the table to calculate the price. Barcelona apartments rentals can be found online, there’s a huge range of accommodation within walking distance to all the popular tourist attractions and sights, and prices are very reasonable. Fancy learning how to cook Catalan food? Then go along to one of the organised demo and dinner events held in various parts of the city and impress your friends when you return home, or hold a tapas night for them! A table full of delicious tasty bites with a jug of sangria to wash it all down in a cheery environment with Spanish music playing in the background and a good wine to complete the evening is the perfect way to remember your holiday in Barcelona.
