Sagrada Familia

The church of La Sagrada Família is an impressive piece of work on a huge scale that was started in 1882 by architect Francisco de Paula del Villar, then taken over a year later by Gaudí who oversaw the project until he died in 1926. Since then it has been managed by various architects but still has a way to go before it’s deemed completed, the estimated date is sometime in the 21st century. Located in the centre of Barcelona it’s recogniseable all over the world and millions visit every year to see for themselves its stunning architectural structure and religious content. A cheap apartment in Barcelona will enable you to enjoy the city’s tourist attractions and have more money to spend on souvenirs. Equally impressive about La Sagrada is that it has been built entirely from donations. In 1882 building methods were very traditional but Gaudí came up with some truly unique ideas to make the building easier, such as including laying railway tracks so wagons could transport materials. These days the work is carried out by precise electric machines and equipment to make sure the building quality process is nothing but excellent.
