The area of Port Olympic was fully regenerated in time for the Olympic Games in 1992 and the area is a lovely place to wander around as the Port is close to both Barceloneta Beach and Icaria Beach. This area of the city is very modern and there are plenty of bars and restaurants along the Barcelona Olympic Port. The cost of hotel accommodation can be high because of the first-class location but one option to save yourself some money is to find a holiday apartment. To rent apartments Barcelona is affordable and a great option for those wanting to stay in the city for a while or who are travelling with family or a group of friends.
