Barcelona is one of the favorite holiday destinations in Europe, especially because it has so much to offer, ther is lot´s to see and do … But even in a vibrant city like Barcelona, there might be a moment or a day during your stay where you just want to take it easy and relax. We tell you about the nicest options to unwind from the buzz of the city and recharge your batteries – in style!
Parc de la Ciutadella is the biggest park in town and the lawn spaces between trees are inviting for a picnic and nap in the sunshine. The location right next to the Born area makes the organization of a picnic very simple: get some delicious sushi at Ikibana on Passeig de Picasso or choose one of the many take-away options at Pim Pam Plats, including great hamburgers.
Boo Beach Club is one of the coolest beach clubs of the moment and ideal to escape the crowded Barceloneta beaches. It is located on a small pier between the Mar Bella and Nova Mar bella beaches. The perfect place to enjoy a drink or two and to really relax in style we recommend reserving one of their seaside hammocks or VIP beds.
Rituels d’Orient offers you the best spa and hammam experience in town. There are various spas in town, but Rituels d’Orient is not only decorated with attention to detail and original materials from Marrocco, but also offers the real hammam experience, including (optional) traditional bodyscrub and oil massage. Spoil yourself!
The rooftop bar “Isabela” of Hotel 1898 is inspired by a Philipine island “La Isabela” which gives you a hint on the decoration and the casual chic atmosphere – teak wood floors and furniture, sofabeds, plants and chillout music (often live). Plus: fantastic views over the city the Ramblas. The pool is officially open only to Hotel guests, but maybe you want to try your luck to take a swim in one of Barcelonas hotspots 😉
The bar “El Jardi” (the garden) located in the garden of an old hospital, which hosts now the art school Massana and a library, surrounded by trees and thick stone walls an idyllic spot to relax in the bustling centre. The terrace of the bar invites to stay and enjoy the surroundings with the smell of the many orange trees.
Gran Hotel La Florida is a 5star Hotel on Tibidabo in a 19th century building, surrounded by gardens and the Collserola park with breathtaking views overlooking Barcelona. You can enjoy those views and a day of luxury by booking a treatment in the Spa Zen Zone – including the use of the indoor and outdoor pool. Possible combinations including lunch at the L’Orangerie restaurant.
Private Sailing tours are an opportunity to get a different perspective of the city and during the hot summer month a nice way to get a cooling breeze. CTB travels offer tours for small groups, including lunch, drinks and private DJ.
Last but not least – rent a luxury apartment with private terrace and relax with all comforts in the privacy of your home away from home! 😉
