Shopping

The best shopping opportunities are mostly in the city center and you can find the latest name brands but also a great selection of unique creations by young, upcoming designers. Although not as popular for shoppers as Paris and Milan it still has a lot of style and everything can be found here from jewellery and books to haute couture, designer furniture, leather and porcelain. There are also numerous markets around the centre on various days of the week. Most of the big stores are located around La Rambla, Passeig de Gracia, Avinguda Diagonal and as far as Placa de la Reina Maria Cristina and Placa de Catalunya, the huge El Corte Inglés department store which sells practically anything you could desire. You can find great apartments Barcelona by going online where there are plenty of places to choose from, a city centre apartment means you can shop till you drop and not have far to go to get home! Unique boutiques, flea markets and vintage stores Barcelona has it all. For those who like second-hand markets then check out Els Encants Vells and the Barri Gòtic as it has different markets on certain days with coins, stamps and books and the art and craft market at Plaça de San Josep.
