Events
In Barcelona there are all kinds of events going on throughout the year. In January you have the Three Kings Day with spectacular firework displays, February is the Feast of Santa Eulàlia with giants parading through the streets, and in March it’s a huge carnival all over the city.
April has two main festivals, the Feast of Sant Jordi and the Feast of Virgin of Montserrat where you can experience sardana dancing. During May it’s Corpus Christi and Dia de Sant Ponc herb fair whilst in June there’s more fireworks and feasting at the Feast of Sant Joan and some great music and theatre at the Grec Festival and Sonar. With budget apartments Barcelona offering such a good deal you can always stay for longer than intended!
In July you get to see fashion shows, the Assumption Festa Major with celebrations and parties in the streets of Gracia in August and September has La Diada, the Catalan national day. October to November is the Festival de Tardor with theatre, music, dance, cabaret and exhibitions and Festival Internacional de Jazz de Barcelona, and finally in December are the Christmas Fairs.
