Barcelona offers the perfect dining experience to try the fruits of the ocean as it is located next to the gorgeous Mediterranean Sea, has a busy port which has led to plenty of seafood restaurants with dishes often unique and delicious, and on top of this you don’t have to pay over the odds for a tasty meal. Paella and octopus, shrimp and fish - try and sample Bacalla a la Llauna which is codfish, Catalan Shredded Salt Cod Salad and Catalan Sauté of Calamari in Onion Marmalade – just some of the favourite dishes. Remember that lunch is served from 2pm until 4pm and dinner from 9pm so make sure you leave your accommodation on time to get into somewhere good to dine. Apartments to rent Barcelona are ideal for groups of friends or families as you get lots of privacy and your own space if you want some time to yourself after a busy day sightseeing. Barceloneta is originally the old fishing port and some of the best sea food restaurants can be found here, and the lowest prices. Or you could always pop along to one of Barcelona’s markets and pick up something fresh to cook in your apartment, or have a barbeque.
Too many people visiting me in Barcelona say that the paella in their respective country is better. This spanish national dish became a tourist trap and quality is mostly very disappointing.
