The nightlife in Barcelona is often the main reason visitors come to the city as it has everything from theatre and flamenco shows to stylish restaurants and jazz concerts. Particularly popular with the younger generation keen to try out the multitude of clubs and bars the night scene is diverse due to the mix of foreigners, students, locals and tourists that makes for a great comination, whatever kind of place you’re looking for, dance, soul, techno or R&B, Barcelona has it all. Start off in the areas of the Barri Gòtic and Las Ramblas as it’s central and although it can be touristy in parts there are enough exceptions to make it worth while. Barcelona apartments to rent are central so you can go clubbing, to the theatre or just for dinner in the city centre and easily walk home. L'Eixample is north of the centre but worth the trip as it has plenty of great bars and clubs whilst Maremagnum is Barcelona's biggest mall that transforms at night into a busy area full of clubs, pubs and bars open till the early hours. Port Olímpic is similar but great in the summer as many have outdoor terraces.
