Gaudi

Gaudi has produced many fine works and part of the reaason why barcelona is such a popular short break destination for people from all over the world. He had a totally unique way of thinking which is reflected in his art and architecture designs and his influence on local and international artists has been profound. His style and creativity is admired by everyone and wherever you go in Barcelona you will instantly recognise his originality. Many of his works focus on forms of nature which are illustrated by curved stones and twisted iron sculptures, and he enjoyed decorating buildings in colourful mosaic patterns. Cheap apartments in Barcelona are affordable but still comfortable and with all the mod cons you would expect from a city centre location. Gaudi’s most famous works is without a doubt the Sagrada Familia, the most popular place for visitors and not even finished to date! Park Guell is just like being in fairyland where there are dragon fountains and gingerbread houses made from the most unusual materials, and Casa Batlló is full of surprises around every corner. There are plenty of inspiring works dating from the Romanesque and Renaissance periods, but millions of visitors each year come for the works produced by Catalonia's favourite artist and you shouldn’t miss the opportunity to visit Gaudi buildings.
