Plaza Catalunya

Placa in English simply means square and you can find many of them all over the city, their wide open spaces are popular meeting points, as you can choose to sit in a pavement café, in the square itself or dine at an open-air restaurant. Placa Catalunya is right in the centre of the Catalonian capital and one of the most important squares due to its position between the Eixample district and the Old City at the top of La Rambla Barcelona. The square is a transport hub with buses and trains, the metro and tour buses arriving here, and the city’s Tourist Information Office is also located here who can assist with holidays apartments Barcelona and hotel bookings, transport, tours and shows amongst other things. Do your shopping at Habitat, El Corte Inglés, the El Triangle shopping center and lots more extravagant shops to spend your well-earned money. Anyone who follows football will also be pleased to hear that Barça’s official store is located here.
